At this museum, visitors gain access to two of the few remaining parts of the old city walls - the 14th century Florian Gate and the 15th century Barbican. The former was once the primary entrance to the city, and the latter was a round bastion with seven turrets which provided extra security. There was once a bridge linking the gate and the Barbican over a moat.
