Description

The Szczerbiec, a jagged sword from the mid-13th century, is the most famous object on-display in the Gothic rooms of the 14th-century castle. This sword was used in all Polish coronations from 1320 onward and is housed within the treasury. The armoury also features a range of weapons from the 15th to 17th centuries including crossbows, swords, lances, halberds and later muskets, rifles, pistols and cannon.
