Description

The Czartoryski Museum is renowned for housing the city's most opulent art collection, with Leonardo Da Vinci's iconic 15th-century painting, Lady with an Ermine (1489–90), as its most treasured piece. In addition, the museum boasts an impressive selection of Greek, Roman, Egyptian and Etruscan art, along with Turkish weaponry. However, the museum closed temporarily in 2010 for renovation and is due to be reopened at the end of 2019 as a branch of the National Museum. Until then, Lady with an Ermine is being showcased at the National Museum's main branch.
