Description

This structure, which was originally built in the Renaissance style in 1560 and is the third-oldest synagogue after the Old and Remuh synagogues, is now known as the High Synagogue. It acquired this name because the prayer hall was situated on the uppermost floor while the ground floor was occupied by retail stores. Although the synagogue is no longer in use, it now houses a photography exhibition that focuses on the families of Kazimierz. The ground floor also holds a branch of the Jewish bookshop chain called Austeria.
