Visiting the abandoned limestone quarry that was once used as a labour camp by the occupying Germans during WWII is a unique experience. Follow the path south from the Krakus Mound or ul Za Torem into the woods to find this eerie, yet fascinating place. It was also used as a stand-in for the Płaszów concentration camp in Schindler's List, and strolling around here will make one contemplate modern history.
