In 2019, the newest attraction in Nowa Huta opened its doors - a museum located in a school basement that explores the extensive atomic fallout shelter network constructed in the 1950s and 1960s. Guided tours take visitors through a series of shelters, featuring exhibitions on different aspects of civil defense during Poland's communist era.
