Description

The grounds of Powązki Cemetery, located in Warsaw, Poland, are arguably the city's most prestigious burial site. The cemetery is the final resting place of multiple notable Poles, including Wisława Szymborska (1923–2012), who won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1996. Visitors can take a walk and admire the intricately crafted tombstones, some of which are works of art in their own right.
