St Catherine’s Church, renowned as one of the most impressive in the city, maintains its original Gothic features. Established in 1363, the building was finished 35 years later and its planned towers, however, were never fully constructed. Inside the church, visitors will find a striking baroque high altar from 1634, along with striking and lavish choir stalls. The interior of the church has been whitewashed, creating a lofty and spacious atmosphere.
